Done on the back this lesson involves the primitive movement of flexion. The flexors are the muscles that are primarily involved with closing our joints as in the hips, hands, elbows, and folding in the shoulders, chest, and abdomen. Over time, due to stress and anxiety, can become habitually over contracted. This can cause poor skeletal alignment and put a strain on the back. This lesson explores many ways of engaging the flexor system and as a result, creating length in the extensors and ease in the back.
