Use Your Brain to Change Your Pain!

Attend this 3-hour course with Donna and Al and understand how emotional and physical pain are connected. With this awareness, you will learn skills that will help you shift pain to comfort.

  • Learn the primary antidotes for emotional and physical pain
  • Understand the kinds of pain we experience - Acute, chronic, and emotional
  • Discover the differences between physical sensations and emotional feelings
  • Find out how to direct your attention to create more comfort using Feldenkrais lessons

Become aware of intrapersonal and interpersonal dynamics that exacerbate pain and relieve pain. For example, self-blame, shame, self-criticism. Rather than self-care and kindness. And how connecting with others is essential for cultivating more comfort.

Pain is generated in the brain and felt in your physical sensations. When you pay attention to pleasure instead of pain, your brain map changes; learn to use your mind to direct your awareness away from pain and toward pleasure to create more comfort in your life.

During the course, you will experience four easy-to-do Awareness Through Movement lessons that you can continue to use at home with the recordings. Information and discussion will be allowed so you can digest this revolutionary approach.

We hope to provide you with hope, optimism, and essential antidotes to emotional and physical pain. Hardcore exercise is unnecessary; gentle movement, self-reflection, and self-awareness are the antidotes to chronic pain.
