Breathing is meant to be flexible, moving with each unique situation we encounter. Your breathing when running differs from when relaxing and watching TV, which differs from when grieving, laughing, eating, lifting something heavy, or holding a loved one.

Yet many of us are unaware of our breathing habits. We develop restrictive patterns from posture, movement inefficiencies, and even emotional holding. These habits lead to fatigue, cloudy thinking, and even pain. 

In this workshop, we gently investigate the fundamentals of breathing. We will tap into the intelligence of your brain and nervous system, sensing how we can undo limitations and enhance endurance and clarity.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • How improving your exhale improves your inhale
  • How to differentiate the functions of your breath 
  • To sense and move your diaphragm
  • To improve the entire cycle of your breath
  • How breathing in many different positions trains your breath for more adaptability
  • Improve your oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange

You will also:

  • Improve your posture
  • Ease back pain
  • Free your neck and shoulder
  • Improve your range of motion

The journey of breathing holds endless insight into being fully alive. This workshop offers a supportive space to explore your unique breathing patterns and potentials. You'll learn Feldenkrais principles for freeing your breath and meeting each moment with responsive, vibrant breath.
