Reuven (Robbie) Ofir

Reuven (Robbie) Ofir is a Certified Feldenkrais Trainer. Israeli born and raised, Robbie earned his M.A. in Physical Therapy from New York University. He started his career first as an aide, then as a Physical Therapist at the famous Howard Rusk, New York University Physical Rehabilitation Institute where he rose to Supervisor. Realizing that Physical Therapy was not providing sufficient tools in his work, he took formal Feldenkrais training in Toronto in 1984. Robbie went on to earn his Ph.D. in movement science in 1993 and became a Feldenkrais trainer in 2003. He recently completed a four-year project translating from Hebrew to English Moshe Feldenkrais’ commentaries in his book he had published in 1929/1977: The Practice of Autosuggestion by the Method of Emile Coue. Robbie’s translation has now been published in a monograph titled Thinking and Doing.
